Morning Quickies – 3/14/2011

Industrygamers.com talks about the story from Gameindustry.biz discussing the pretty broken model for triple-A game production of late.  I’ve long thought the whole thing was a little crazier than the movie making business with the amount of funds sloshing around.  Check it out here.

Whatsplaying.com.au reports their thinking of doing a Doom movie reboot.  Does anyone even remember that horrid thing?  Check it out here.
I think Penny arcade did the best summary of the old script in a comic they did before the movie came out.

Gamerzines.com reports that half of the UK Wii that were bought sit unused for 6 months.  It reminds me of the trend to buy treadmills and the like – that just ended up in prefect condition at the yard sale.  Check it out here.  I bet a look into the American numbers would be interesting.

Good news for the fans of Dragonage.  Computerandvideogames.com reports that Bioware says the console graphics will not suffer for the port.  Check it out here.

Over at Industrygamers.com there is a brief article about the Wii-ification of games.  So now instead of turning into poo their turning into Wii?  Check it out here.
